Introduction

In 1992, the sci-fi blockbuster “Gladiator” was released. It was directed by Ridley Scott and starred Russell Crowe. The film revolves around the exploits of Maximus Decimus Meridius, a Roman general who is betrayed by Commodus, the emperor’s son. After taking revenge on Commodus, Maximus is captured by slave traders, who force him to become a gladiator and fight to the death in the Roman Colosseum. “Gladiator” was a huge critical and commercial success, and it went on to win five Oscars. It was also one of the first Hollywood films to be written and performed entirely in ancient Latin.

Best movie in 90’s

“Sommersby”(1992) tells the story of an ex-Confederate soldier (Richard Gere) who returns home after the Civil War to find that his wife has been killed and replaced by an Englishwoman (Jodie Foster), whom he had never met. In the movie, Foster’s character is pretending to be Gere’s wife in order to protect her from further harm by those who murdered her. The movie is set in the present day (1940’s), and the role of the wife is played by an Englishwoman. The movie is set in the past (the Civil War era), so it is strange and out of place to have an Englishwoman in the role of a nineteenth-century American woman. It would not be out of place to have an American actress in the role of a nineteenth-century Englishwoman, as that would make sense.

From my top list movie in 1992

The Abyss was the best movie about space to come out in 1992 moviz. Directed by James Cameron, this movie featured high-tech special effects and outstanding performances from Ed Harris and Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio. The film is about a group of NASA explorers who encounter a problem during a deep-sea dive and wind up trapped at the bottom of the ocean. This is a tricky question. Most people would say “The Lawnmower Man”, but that was in 1992. The movie “Freejack” came out in 1992. It’s a sci-fi movie about an action star, who is cryogenically frozen for a race. The movie stars the great Mick Jagger.

My favorite movie in space is The Martian, by Ridley Scott. It may be my favorite movie, but it is not my top favorite, because I’ve seen better. I have seen other great space movies, too. A space movie I really like is Interstellar, directed by Christopher Nolan. I also like Gravity, directed by Alfonso Cuarón.
The most influential space movies of the early 1990s were a pair of classics, “The Empire Strikes Back” and “Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan”. “Empire” and “Khan” were both top-grossing films when they released in 1980 and 1982, respectively. Both films have won numerous awards, including Academy Awards.
